Adhyāya 283: Varṇa-vṛtti, Nyāya-ārjana, and the Decline-and-Restoration of Dharma (वर्णवृत्तिः न्यायार्जनं च)
ततः: किलकिलाशब्दैसकाशं पूरयन्निव । वे भयंकर रूपधारी विशालकाय रुद्रगण सैकड़ों और हजारोंकी टोलियाँ बनाकर अपनी किलकारियोंसे आकाशको गुँजाते हुए-से दक्षयज्ञका विध्वंस करनेके लिये बड़ी तेजीके साथ टूट पड़े
tataḥ kilakilāśabdaiḥ sakāśaṃ pūrayann iva | te bhayaṅkara-rūpadhāriṇaḥ viśāla-kāyā rudragaṇāḥ śataśaḥ sahasraśaś ca gaṇīkṛtya svābhiḥ kilakilābhiḥ ākāśaṃ ghoṣayanta iva dakṣayajñasya vidhvaṃsārthaṃ mahāvegāt samabhipetuḥ ||
అనంతరం కిలకిలారవాలతో ఆకాశమంతా నిండినట్లుగా, భయంకరరూపధారులు, విశాలకాయులైన రుద్రగణులు వందలుగా వేలలుగా గుంపులై, తమ కేకలతో ఆకాశాన్ని ప్రతిధ్వనింపజేస్తూ, దక్షయజ్ఞాన్ని ధ్వంసం చేయుటకు మహావేగంతో దూసుకుపోయిరి।
