Transliteration

yathāvat sampravartante yasmiṁs tiṣṭhanti vā vibho | tat te'nupūrvyā vyākhyāsthe tad ihaikamanāḥ śṛṇu ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఓ విభో! ప్రాణులు కర్మలో యథావిధిగా ఎలా ప్రవృత్తి చెందుదురు, ఏ కారణముచేత అందులో స్థిరపడుదురు, మరియు ఏ స్థితిలో దానినుండి నివృత్తి పొందుదురో—అది అంతా నేను నీకు క్రమంగా వివరిస్తాను. ఇక్కడ ఏకాగ్రచిత్తుడై వినుము।
