मैवमित्यब्रवीद् व्यासो निगृहाय मुनिसत्तम: । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! अपने बन्धु-जनोंके शोकसे विह्बल होकर युधिष्ठिरको ऐसी बातें करते देख मुनिवर व्यासजीने उन्हें रोककर कहा--“नहीं, ऐसा नहीं हो सकता”
māivam ity abravīd vyāso nigṛhāya munisattamaḥ |
వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు— జనమేజయా! బంధుజనుల శోకంతో విహ్వలుడై యుధిష్ఠిరుడు అలా మాట్లాడుతున్నాడని చూసి, మునిశ్రేష్ఠుడైన వ్యాసుడు అతనిని ఆపి ఇలా అన్నాడు—“కాదు; అలా జరగదు.”
