परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269

यां विप्रा: सर्वतः शान्ता विशुद्धा ज्ञाननिश्चया: । गतिं गच्छन्ति संतुष्टास्तामाहु: परमां गतिम्‌,सब ओरसे शान्त, संतुष्ट, विशुद्धचित्त और ज्ञाननिष्ठ विप्र जिस गतिको प्राप्त होते हैं, उसीको परमगति कहते हैं

yāṁ viprāḥ sarvataḥ śāntā viśuddhā jñānaniścayāḥ | gatiṁ gacchanti saṁtuṣṭās tām āhuḥ paramāṁ gatim ||

కపిలుడు పలికెను—సర్వతోముఖంగా శాంతులై, అంతఃశుద్ధులై, సత్యజ్ఞాన నిశ్చయంలో స్థిరులై, సంతుష్టులైన విప్ర ఋషులు ఏ గమ్యాన్ని పొందుతారో, అదే పరమగతి అని చెప్పబడుతుంది।
