भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

भूतानां जन्म सर्वेषां विविधानां चतुर्विधम्‌ | जरायुजाण्डजोद्धिज्जस्वेदजं चोपलक्षयेत्‌,संसारमें जो नाना प्रकारके जरायुज, अण्डज, स्वदेज और उद्धिज्ज-ये चतुर्विध प्राणी हैं, उन सबके जन्मकी ओर भी लक्ष्य करना चाहिये

bhūtānāṃ janma sarveṣāṃ vividhānāṃ caturvidham | jarāyujāṇḍajodbhijja-svedajaṃ copalakṣayet |

వ్యాసుడు చెప్పెను—సంసారంలో నానావిధ ప్రాణుల జన్మ నాలుగు విధములు: జరాయుజ, అండజ, స్వేదజ, ఉద్భిజ్జ. ఈ జన్మభేదమును గమనించవలెను.
