Jñāna-plava (The Raft of Knowledge): Svabhāva, Prajñā, and the Ascent to Ātmajñāna

नाप्राप्तमनुशोचन्ति प्राप्तकालानि कुर्वते । न चातीतानि शोचन्ति न चैव प्रतिजानते,जो अभी सामने नहीं आयी है या भविष्यमें होनेवाली है, उसके लिये वे शोक या चिन्ता नहीं करते हैं। वर्तमान समयमें जो कार्य प्राप्त हैं, उन्हींको वे करते हैं। जो बातें बीत गयी हैं, उनके लिये भी उन्हें शोक नहीं होता है और वे किसी बातकी प्रतिज्ञा नहीं करते हैं

na aprāptam anuśocanti prāptakālāni kurvate | na ca atītāni śocanti na ca eva pratijānate ||

ఇంకా రాని దానికో, భవిష్యత్తులో జరిగేదానికో వారు శోకించరు. కాలానుగుణంగా వచ్చిన కర్తవ్యాలనే చేస్తారు. గతించిన వాటికీ వారు విచారపడరు; అలాగే కఠిన ప్రతిజ్ఞలతో తమను తాము బంధించుకోరు.
