अध्याय २०८ — इन्द्रियनिग्रहः, सत्याहिंसात्मकवाक्, कर्मफलविवेकः

Restraint of the Senses, Non-harming Truthful Speech, and Discernment of Karmic Consequence

मरीचे: कश्यप: पुत्रस्तस्य द्वे नामनी स्मृते । अरिष्टनेमिरित्येके कश्यपेत्यपरे विदु:

marīceḥ kaśyapaḥ putras tasya dve nāmanī smṛte | ariṣṭanemir ity eke kaśyapety apare viduḥ ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—మరీచి కుమారుడు కశ్యపుడు; సంప్రదాయంలో అతనికి రెండు పేర్లు స్మరించబడతాయి. కొందరు అతనిని ‘అరిష్టనేమి’ అంటారు, మరికొందరు ‘కశ్యప’ అని తెలుసుకొంటారు.
