धर्मसूक्ष्मे त्यागप्रधान्यविचारः

Subtle Dharma and the Primacy of Renunciation

इसके सिवा जो दक्षिण मार्ग है, जिसे प्रकाशपूर्ण बताया गया है, वहाँ जो लोक हैं, वे सकाम कर्म करनेवाले उन गृहस्थोंके लिये हैं, जो श्मशान-भूमिका सेवन करते हैं (जन्म- मरणके चक्‍्करमें पड़े रहते हैं) ।।

anirdeśyā gatiḥ sā tu yāṃ prapaśyanti mokṣiṇaḥ | tasmād yogaḥ pradhāneṣṭaḥ sa tu duḥkhaṃ pravedayitum ||

యుధిష్ఠిరుడు అన్నాడు—మోక్షాన్ని కోరువారు ప్రత్యక్షంగా దర్శించే ఆ గతి అనిర్దేశ్యమైనది. అందువల్ల యోగం—అంటే విమోచనకరమైన జ్ఞానం, అంతఃసాక్షాత్కార శిక్షణ—అన్ని సాధనాలలో ప్రధానమూ, అత్యంత ఇష్టమైనదీ అని చెప్పబడుతుంది; కానీ దాని స్వరూపాన్ని మాటలలో పూర్తిగా తెలియజేయడం అత్యంత కష్టం.
