उत्सहन्ते च ते वृत्तिमन्यामप्युपसेवितुम् । स्वकर्मणा तु नियतं भवितव्यं तु तत् तथा
utsahante ca te vṛttim anyām apy upasevitum | svakarmaṇā tu niyataṁ bhavitavyaṁ tu tat tathā ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—వారు మరో జీవనవృత్తిని కూడా ఆశ్రయించేందుకు ఉత్సాహం చూపుతారు; అయితే స్వకర్మవశాత్తు ఏది నియతమై ఉందో, భవిష్యత్తులో అదే తప్పక జరుగుతుంది—అదే విధంగా జరుగుతుంది.
