Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the sanctity and merit of properly conducted yajña: when ritual order, purity, and excellence are present, the rite becomes a locus of divine attention—symbolized by radiant implements and the presence of the foremost gods.

Bhīṣma describes a magnificent sacrificial arena: it is decorated with shining golden ritual vessels and encircled by eminent divine beings, emphasizing the grandeur and auspicious power of the rite being narrated.
