Adhyāya 166: Kṛtaghna-doṣa (कृतघ्नदोषः) — the fault of ingratitude and the limits of expiation
प्रभु: प्रथभकल्पस्य योडनुकल्पे न वर्तते । न साम्परायिकं तस्य दुर्मतेविद्यते फलम्
prabhuḥ prathamakalpasya yo 'nukalpe na vartate | na sāmparāyikaṃ tasya durmateḥ vidyate phalam ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను— ప్రధాన విధి ప్రకారము కర్మ చేయగల సామర్థ్యముండి కూడా అనుకల్పము—అంటే గౌణ/ప్రత్యామ్నాయ విధి—లోనే నడిచేవాడు దుర్బుద్ధి; అతనికి పరలోక ఫలము లభించదు.
