न ववर्ष सहस्राक्ष: प्रतिलोमो5भवद्‌ गुरु: । जगाम दक्षिण मार्ग सोमो व्यावृत्तलक्षण:

Transliteration

na vavarṣa sahasrākṣaḥ pratilomo 'bhavad guruḥ | jagāma dakṣiṇa-mārgaṃ somo vyāvṛtta-lakṣaṇaḥ ||

Translation

సహస్రాక్షుడు ఇంద్రుడు వర్షం కురిపించలేదు; గురువు (బృహస్పతి) ప్రతిలోమగతిలో (వక్రంగా) తిరిగాడు; వికృత లక్షణములు గల సోముడు (చంద్రుడు) దక్షిణ మార్గమున సాగాడు.
