उन्माथमप्यथादाय चाण्डालो वीक्ष्य सर्वश:,भरतश्रेष्ठ] चाण्डालने उस जालको लेकर उसे सब ओरसे उलट-पलटकर देखा और निराश होकर क्षणभरमें उस स्थानसे हट गया और अन्तमें अपने घरको चला गया
unmātham apy athādāya cāṇḍālo vīkṣya sarvaśaḥ
భీష్ముడు అన్నాడు—చాండాలుడు ఆ సాధనాన్ని కూడా తీసుకొని అన్ని వైపులా తిప్పి పరిశీలించాడు. దానిలో లాభమో ఆశయో కనిపించక, క్షణంలోనే ఆ స్థలాన్ని విడిచి చివరికి తన ఇంటికి వెళ్లిపోయాడు—అర్హతలేని చోట లాభాపేక్ష చివరికి నిరాశగా కూలిపోతుందని ఇది చూపుతుంది।
