आपद्धर्मनिर्णयः — विश्वामित्र-श्वपचसंवादः

यम्सित्रं भीतवत्साध्यं यन्मित्र॑ भयसंहितम्‌ । सुरक्षितव्यं तत्‌ कार्य पाणि: सर्पमुखादिव

yam mitraṁ bhītavat sādhyaṁ yan mitraṁ bhaya-saṁhitam | surakṣitavyaṁ tat kāryaṁ pāṇiḥ sarpa-mukhādiva ||

భయపడిన ప్రాణి ఏర్పరచుకున్న మైత్రి, అలాగే తానూ భయంతోనే స్నేహం చేసే మైత్రి—ఈ రెండు రకాల స్నేహాలను జాగ్రత్తగా కాపాడుకోవాలి. పరస్పర కార్యాల్లో సహకరించాలి, కానీ స్వరక్షణను విడువకూడదు—సర్పవశీకర్త సర్పముఖం నుండి చేతిని కాపాడుకుంటూ ఆట చూపినట్లుగా।
