तां चेच्छक्नोषि निर्मातुं कर्म चैव करिष्यसि । शृणु सर्वमशेषेण यत्‌ त्वां वक्ष्यामि तत्त्वतः,यदि तुम उसे कार्यरूपमें परिणत कर सको, उसके अनुसार ही सारा कार्य करो तो मैं उस नीतिका यथार्थरूपसे वर्णन करता हूँ। तुम वह सब पूर्णरूपसे सुनो

tāṃ cecchaknoṣi nirmātuṃ karma caiva kariṣyasi | śṛṇu sarvam aśeṣeṇa yat tvāṃ vakṣyāmi tattvataḥ ||
