सेनयोर्व्यतिषज्रेण जय: साधारणो भवेत् । किंकुर्वाणं न मां जह्याज्ज्वलिता श्री:प्रतापिनी
senayor vyatiṣajreṇa jayaḥ sādhāraṇo bhavet | kiṃ kurvāṇaṃ na māṃ jahyāj jvalitā śrīḥ pratāpinī ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—రెండు సేనలు పరస్పరం గుదిగుచ్చుకొని సమరంలో చిక్కుకున్నప్పుడు, జయం రెండుపక్షాలకూ అనిశ్చితమై సాధారణమవుతుంది. కాబట్టి శత్రువులకు తాపం కలిగించే ఈ జ్వలితమైన, ప్రతాపవంతమైన రాజలక్ష్మి నన్ను ఎప్పుడూ విడిచిపెట్టకుండా ఉండేందుకు నేను ఏమి చేయాలి?
