Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment
अग्रतः पुरुषानीकं शक्तं चापि कुलोद्धवम् | आवासस्तोयवान् दुर्ग: पर्याकाश: प्रशस्यते
agratāḥ puruṣānīkaṃ śaktaṃ cāpi kulodbhavam | āvāsa-stoya-vān durgaḥ paryākāśaḥ praśasyate ||
సేన ముందుభాగంలో వంశగౌరవం కలిగి బలవంతమైన పాదసేనను నిలపాలి. శత్రువుల నుండి రక్షణకై సైనికుల నివాసం లేదా దుర్గం చేరుటకు కష్టమైనదిగా, చుట్టూ నీటితో నిండిన కందకాలు మరియు ఎత్తైన ప్రాకారంతో కూడినదిగా, అలాగే అన్ని వైపులా తెరిచిన స్థలం ఉన్నదిగా ఉండటం ప్రశంసనీయం—అప్పుడు కాపలా, రక్షణ నిర్బంధం లేకుండా నిలుస్తాయి.
