स चानेन नृशंसेन धृष्टद्युम्नेन वीर्यवान्
sa cānena nṛśaṃsena dhṛṣṭadyumnena vīryavān
సంజయుడు పలికెను—అతడు పరాక్రమవంతుడైన యోధుడు; కాని ఆ నృశంసుడైన ధృష్టద్యుమ్నుడు అతనిపై దాడి చేశాడు. యుద్ధోన్మాదంలో కఠిన సంకల్పం సౌమ్య నియమాలను మరిచిపోనిచ్చే విధానాన్ని ఇది చూపింది.
