पाण्डुभ्य: प्रार्थ्मानो5पि पित्र्यमंशं न दत्तवान् | “विदुर, द्रोणाचार्य, कृपाचार्य, भीष्म तथा सूंजयोंके बारंबार प्रार्थना करनेपर भी इसने पाण्डवोंको उनका पैतृक भाग नहीं दिया
pāṇḍubhyaḥ prārthyamāno 'pi pitryam aṁśaṁ na dattavān |
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు: పాండవుల తరఫున ఎన్నిసార్లు వేడుకున్నా అతడు వారి పితృస్వామ్యమైన న్యాయమైన భాగాన్ని ఇవ్వలేదు. విదురుడు, ద్రోణుడు, కృపుడు, భీష్ముడు, సంజయుడు పదేపదే మనవి చేసినా పాండవుల ధర్మసమ్మత వారసత్వాన్ని అతడు అడ్డుకున్నాడు।
