कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
तेजो माहेश्वरं स्कन्नमग्नौ प्रपतितं पुरा । तत् सर्वभक्षो भगवान् नाशकद् दग्धुमक्षयम्,पूर्वकालकी बात है, भगवान् शिवका तेजोमय वीर्य अग्निमें गिर पड़ा। भगवान् अग्नि सर्वभक्षी हैं तो भी उस अक्षय वीर्यको वे भस्म न कर सके
tejo māheśvaraṁ skannam agnau prapatitaṁ purā | tat sarvabhakṣo bhagavān nāśakad dagdhum akṣayam ||
వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—పూర్వకాలంలో మహేశ్వరుని తేజోమయ శక్తి అగ్నిలో పడింది. సర్వభక్షకుడైన భగవాన్ అగ్నికూడా ఆ అక్షయ తేజస్సును దహించలేకపోయాడు.
