Educational Q&A

The verse highlights fidelity to a samaya (pledge/compact) while remaining attentive to shifting circumstances; ethical action in war is framed as honoring commitments without ignoring present realities.

The narrator states that a leading figure, after carrying out an agreed condition and noticing a mist or obscuring haze, proceeds accordingly—signaling a tactical or consequential turn shaped by both prior vows and immediate battlefield conditions.
