अध्याय ४ — दुर्योधनस्य असंधि-निश्चयः
Duryodhana’s Refusal of Reconciliation
ते वयं पाण्डुपुत्रेभ्यो हीना सम बलशक्तित: । तदत्र पाण्डवै: सार्ध सन्धिं मन्ये क्षमं प्रभो
te vayaṃ pāṇḍuputrebhyo hīnāḥ sama-bala-śaktitaḥ | tad atra pāṇḍavaiḥ sārdhaṃ sandhiṃ manye kṣamaṃ prabho ||
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు— “బలం, శక్తి రెండింటిలోనూ మేము పాండుపుత్రులకంటే హీనులమయ్యాం. కాబట్టి ప్రభూ, ఈ పరిస్థితిలో పాండవులతో సంధి చేయడమే సముచితమని నేను భావిస్తున్నాను.”
