आविनन॑ त्रिदिवं सर्व कारणं च न बुद्धयते । महात्मा त्रितका वह महान् यज्ञ जब चालू हुआ, उस समय सारा स्वर्गलोक उद्विग्न हो उठा, परंतु किसीको इसका कोई कारण नहीं जान पड़ा
āvinan tridivaṃ sarva-kāraṇaṃ ca na budhyate | mahātmā tritakā vaha mahān yajñaḥ jaba cālū huā, usa samaya sārā svargaloka udvigna ho uṭhā, paraṃtu kisīko isakā koī kāraṇa nahīṃ jān paṛā |
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఆ మహాయజ్ఞం ప్రారంభమైన వేళ సమస్త త్రిదివలోకం కలవరపడింది; కాని ఆ కలవరానికి కారణం ఎవరికీ బోధపడలేదు. ఈ విధంగా శక్తి, ఐశ్వర్యమున్న లోకాలలోనూ, కార్యమూలం గూఢంగా ఉండి కర్మ యొక్క ధర్మభారం ఇంకా గ్రహించబడనప్పుడు ఆందోళన కలుగుతుంది।
