Trita in the Well (Udapāna-kathā) — Balarāma’s Tīrtha Observances

हेतुना तु महाभागा निवर्तिष्यति केनचित्‌ । उनके ऐसा कहनेपर प्रजापति दक्ष देवताओंसे इस प्रकार बोले--“महाभाग देवगण! मेरी बात पलटी नहीं जा सकती। किसी विशेष कारणसे वह स्वतः निवृत्त हो जायगी ।। ७३ न! सम॑ वर्ततु सर्वासु शशी भार्यासु नित्यश:,“यदि चन्द्रमा अपनी सभी पत्नियोंके प्रति सदा समान बर्ताव करें और सरस्वतीके श्रेष्ठ तीर्थमें गोता लगायें तो वे पुनः बढ़कर पुष्ट हो जायँगे। देवताओ! मेरी यह बात अवश्य सच होगी

hetunā tu mahābhāgā nivartiṣyati kenacit |

“మహాభాగ దేవగణమా! ఏదో ప్రత్యేక కారణంతో అది స్వయంగా నివృత్తమవుతుంది.”
