संनद्ध: सगदो राजन् सज्ज: संग्राममूर्धनि । अब्रवीत् पाण्डवान् सर्वान् पुत्रो दुर्योधनस्तव
sannaddhaḥ sagado rājan sajjaḥ saṅgrāmamūrdhani | abravīt pāṇḍavān sarvān putro duryodhanas tava naraśvara ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—నరేశ్వరా! యుద్ధముఖంలో కవచం కట్టుకొని, చేతిలో గదను పట్టుకొని, పూర్తిగా సిద్ధమైన నీ కుమారుడు దుర్యోధనుడు సమస్త పాండవులతో ఇలా అన్నాడు—
