शल्यस्य पाण्डवसेनापीडनम् — Śalya’s Assault on the Pāṇḍava Host

सुतसोमो भिदुद्राव परीप्सन् पितरं रणे । महारथी नकुलको रथहीन हुआ देख द्रौपदीका पुत्र सुतमोम अपने चाचाकी रक्षाके लिये वहाँ दौड़ा आया ।। ततो5घिरुह्मु नकुलः: सुतसोमस्य तं रथम्
sañjaya uvāca | sutasomo bhidudrāva parīpsan pitaraṃ raṇe | mahārathī nakulako rathahīno huā dṛṣṭvā draupadīkā putra sutasomo 'sya cācā-kī rakṣā-kṛte tatra daurḍa āyāt || tato 'dhiruhya nakulaḥ sutasomasya taṃ ratham ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—యుద్ధమధ్యంలో మహారథి నకులుడు రథహీనుడై ఉన్నదాన్ని చూచి, ద్రౌపదీపుత్రుడు సుతసోముడు పితృవ్యుని రక్షించాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో వేగంగా పరుగెత్తి వచ్చెను. అప్పుడు నకులుడు సుతసోముని రథమును అధిరోహించెను.
