शल्यस्य पाण्डवसेनापीडनम् — Śalya’s Assault on the Pāṇḍava Host
with Omens and Bhīma’s Counter
satyaseno ratheṣāṁ tu nakulasya dhanus tathā
The verse participates in a battlefield enumeration, implicitly teaching that dharma in war is enacted through preparedness and rightful use of one’s appointed means—warriors, chariots, and weapons—within the larger moral order of the conflict.
Sañjaya is listing notable figures and their martial associations; here he mentions Satyasena in connection with chariots/charioteers and notes Nakula’s bow, as part of a broader roll-call of combatants and equipment in the Shalya Parva context.
