यद् वयं नानुगच्छाम त्वां धिगस्मान् नराधमान् | आप हमें सम्पूर्ण मनोवांछित पदार्थ देते रहे और प्रजाके हितकी रक्षा करते रहे। फिर भी हमलोग जो आपका अनुसरण नहीं कर रहे हैं, इसके लिये हम-जैसे नराधमोंको धिक््कार है!
yad vayaṃ nānugacchāma tvāṃ dhig asmān narādhamān |
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు—మేము మీను అనుసరించకపోవడం వల్ల మేము నరాధములము; మాకు ధిక్కారం. మీరు మాకు మనోవాంఛితములన్నీ ప్రసాదిస్తూ, ప్రజాహితాన్ని కాపాడుతూ వచ్చారు; అయినా మేము మీ మార్గాన్ని అనుసరించలేదు—ఇది మా అపరాధం.
