कराला: पिड़लाश्चैव शैलदन्ता रजस्वला: । जटिला दीर्घशड्खाश्न॒ पजचपादा महोदरा:
sañjaya uvāca |
karālāḥ piṅgalāś caiva śailadantā rajovalāḥ |
jaṭilā dīrghaśaṅkhāś ca pañcapādā mahodarāḥ ||
వారు అత్యంత వికరాళంగా, పింగళవర్ణంతో కనిపించారు; వారి పళ్ళు పర్వతశిఖరాల్లా అనిపించాయి. శరీరమంతా ధూళితో మసకబారగా, తలపై జటలు ధరించి, నుదుటి ఎముకలు పొడవుగా ఉబ్బి కనిపించాయి. ఒక్కొక్కరికి ఐదు కాళ్లు, మహా ఉదరాలు ఉన్నాయి.
