विहीनान् सर्वकामेभ्यो दासभावमुपागतान् | धर्मपाशपरिक्षिप्तानशक्तानिव विक्रमे
sañjaya uvāca | vihīnān sarvakāmebhyo dāsabhāvam upāgatān | dharmapāśaparikṣiptān aśaktān iva vikrame ||
సంజయుడు చెప్పెను—సర్వకామభోగములనుండి వంచితులై దాసస్థితికి దిగిపోయి, ధర్మపాశముచే బద్ధులై, వారు పరాక్రమం చూపుటకును శక్తిహీనులైనట్లు కన్పించిరి।
