आसादितमिदं घोरं तुमुलं लोमहर्षणम् । पाञज्चालीमपकर्षद्धि: सभामध्ये तपस्विनीम्
sañjaya uvāca | āsāditam idaṃ ghoraṃ tumulaṃ lomaharṣaṇam | pāñcālīm apakarṣad dhiḥ sabhāmadhye tapasvinīm ||
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు—ఇది ఘోరమైనది, కలకలమయమైనది, రోమాంచకరమైనది; తపస్వినీ పాంచాలిని సభామధ్యంలోకి లాగి తెచ్చినప్పుడు ఈ సంకటము మాపై పడింది. ఈ అధర్మకృత్యం భయంకర సంగ్రామానికి బీజం వేసి, యుద్ధం అనివార్యమనేలా చేసింది.
