सभा-पर्यवसान-प्रस्थानवचनम् | Counsel at the Point of Departure
(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके ४ ३ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल ९४३ “लोक हैं) न२्च्स्स्त््साि्स्सि ह्य ४: एकोनसप्ततितमो<ध्याय: द्रौोपदीका चेतावनीयुक्त विलाप एवं भीष्मका वचन द्रौपहुवाच पुरस्तात् करणीयं मे न कृतं कार्यमुत्तरम् । विह्वलास्मि कृतानेन कर्षता बलिना बलातू,द्रौपदी बोली--हाय! मेरा जो कार्य सबसे पहले करनेका था, वह अभीतक नहीं हुआ। मुझे अब वह कार्य कर लेना चाहिये। इस बलवान दुरात्मा दुःशासनने मुझे बलपूर्वक घसीटकर व्याकुल कर दिया है
draupadī uvāca | purastāt karaṇīyaṃ me na kṛtaṃ kāryam uttaram | vihvalāsmi kṛtānena karṣatā balinā balāt ||
ద్రౌపది చెప్పింది—అయ్యో! నేను ముందుగా చేయవలసినది ఇంకా చేయలేదు; ఇప్పుడు మిగిలినదే చేయాలి. నేను వ్యాకులమై ఉన్నాను; ఎందుకంటే ఈ బలవంతుడైన దుష్టాత్ముడు దుశ్శాసనుడు నన్ను బలాత్కారంగా లాగి తెచ్చాడు.
