मायासभायां दुर्योधनस्य अवमान-प्रसङ्गः

Duryodhana’s Humiliation in the Hall of Māyā

याथातथ्येन भगवान्‌ देवो वा यदि वेतर: । श्रोतुमिच्छामि पुत्रस्य को<स्य मृत्युर्भविष्यति,“मेरे इस पुत्रके विषयमें जिन्होंने यह बात कही है, उन्हें मैं हाथ जोड़कर प्रणाम करती हूँ। चाहे वे कोई देवता हों अथवा और कोई प्राणी? वे फिर मेरे प्रश्नका उत्तर दें। मैं यह यथार्थरूपसे सुनना चाहती हूँ कि मेरे इस पुत्रकी मृत्युमें कौन निमित्त बनेगा?”

yāthātathyena bhagavān devo vā yadi vetaraḥ | śrotum icchāmi putrasya ko 'sya mṛtyur bhaviṣyati ||

భగవాన్! యథాతథ్యంగా—ఆయన దేవుడైనా గానీ, మరెవడైనా గానీ—నా ఈ కుమారుని మరణానికి కారణం ఎవరో నేను వినదలచుకున్నాను.
