Śiśupāla-vadha in the Rājasūya-sabhā (शिशुपालवधः — राजसूयसभायाम्)

तथा पद्मप्रतीकाशे स्वभावायतविस्तृते । भूय: क्रोधाभिताम्राक्षे रक्ते नेत्रे बभूवतु:,उनकी आँखें स्वभावत: बड़ी-बड़ी और कमलके समान सुन्दर थीं। वे क्रोधके कारण अधिक लाल हो गयीं; मानो उनमें खून उतर आया हो

tathā padmapratīkāśe svabhāvāyatavistṛte | bhūyaḥ krodhābhitāmrākṣe rakte netre babhūvatuḥ ||

ఆ కళ్ళు స్వభావతః పెద్దవి, విశాలమైనవి, పద్మపత్రాలవలె సుందరమైనవి; కాని కోపంతో అవి మరింత రగిలి ఎర్రబడ్డాయి—అందులో రక్తం ఎగసినట్లుగా కనిపించాయి।
