तौ समेत्य महाराज कुरुचेदिवृषौ तदा । उभयोरात्मकुलयो: कौशल्यं पर्यपृच्छताम्,महता बलचक्रेण परराष्ट्रावमर्दिना । हस्त्यश्वरथपूर्णेन दंशितेन प्रतापवान् २ ।।
vaiśampāyana uvāca | tau sametya mahārāja kurucedi-vṛṣau tadā | ubhayor ātma-kulayoḥ kauśalyaṁ paryapṛcchatām |
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—మహారాజా! అప్పుడు కురు-చేది కులములలోని ఆ ఇద్దరు శ్రేష్ఠులు కలుసుకొని, యథోచితంగా పరస్పరం అభివాదం చేసి, తమ తమ కులముల క్షేమసమాచారమును అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు.
