ततो जाल॑ बाणमयं महान्तं सर्वेडद्राक्षु; कुरव: सोमकाश्व । नानन्‍्यं च भूतं ददृशुस्तदा ते बाणान्धकारे तुमुलेडथ किंचित्‌ ७ ।। तदनन्तर समस्त कौरवों और सोमकोंने भी देखा कि वहाँ बाणोंका विशाल जाल फैल गया है। बाणजनित उस भयानक अन्धकारमें उस समय उन्हें दूसरे किसी प्राणीका दर्शन नहीं होता था

Transliteration

tato jālaṃ bāṇamayaṃ mahāntaṃ sarve dadṛkṣuḥ kuravaḥ somakāś ca | nānyaṃ ca bhūtaṃ dadṛśus tadā te bāṇāndhakāre tumule ’tha kiñcit || 7 ||

Translation

అనంతరం కౌరవులూ సోమకులూ అందరూ అక్కడ బాణాలతో ఏర్పడిన మహా జాలం విస్తరించినట్లు చూచిరి. బాణజనితమైన ఆ భయంకర, కలకలమయ అంధకారంలో ఆ సమయంలో వారికి మరే జీవి దర్శనమూ కలగలేదు.
