तत: क्षणेन क्षितिपा: क्षतजप्रतिमेक्षणा: । कर्ण ववर्षुर्बाणौचैर्यथा मेघा महीधरम्‌

Transliteration

tataḥ kṣaṇena kṣitipāḥ kṣatajapratimekṣaṇāḥ | karṇaṁ vavarṣur bāṇaughair yathā meghā mahīdharam ||

Translation

అప్పుడే క్రోధంతో రక్తవర్ణ నేత్రాలైన రాజులు కర్ణునిపై బాణవర్షం కురిపించారు—జలధర మేఘాలు పర్వతంపై వర్షాన్ని కురిపించినట్లుగా।
