पज्चालानां रथश्रेष्ठान्‌ द्रावयन्‌ शात्रवांस्तथा । कर्णस्तु समरे योधांस्त्रासयन्‌ सुमहायशा:

pañcālānāṁ rathaśreṣṭhān drāvayan śātravāṁs tathā | karṇas tu samare yodhāṁs trāsayan sumahāyaśāḥ ||

పంచాలుల శ్రేష్ఠ రథులను పారద్రోలుతూ, అలాగే శత్రుసేనను చెదరగొడుతూ, మహాయశస్సుగల కర్ణుడు సమరంలో యోధులను భయకంపితులను చేశాడు.
