Shloka 48

जहि मातुल संग्रामे भीमसेनं महाबलम्‌ । अस्मिन्‌ जिते जित॑ मन्ये पाण्डवेयं महाबलम्‌,“मामाजी! आप संग्राममें महाबली भीमसेनको मार डालिये। यदि इनको जीत लिया गया तो मैं समझूँगा कि पाण्डवोंकी विशाल सेना ही जीत ली गयी”

jahi mātula saṅgrāme bhīmasenaṃ mahābalam | asmin jite jitaṃ manye pāṇḍaveyaṃ mahābalam ||

సంజయుడు పలికెను—“మామా! ఈ సంగ్రామంలో మహాబలుడైన భీమసేనుని సంహరించుము. అతడు జయింపబడితే పాండవుల మహాబల సైన్యమంతటినీ జయించినట్టే అని నేను భావించెదను.”
