अष्टागवामष्ट शतानि बाणान् मया प्रयुद्धस्य वहन्ति तस्य । तांस्तेन मुक्तानहमस्य बाणै- व्यनाशयं वायुरिवा भ्रजालम्
arjuna uvāca |
aṣṭāgavām aṣṭa śatāni bāṇān mayā prayuddhasya vahanti tasya |
tāṁs tena muktān aham asya bāṇair vyanāśayaṁ vāyur ivā bhrajālam ||
అర్జునుడు పలికెను—యుద్ధ ఘర్షణలో అతడు నాపై ఎనిమిది వందల బాణాలను సంధించాడు, అవి ఎనిమిది అశ్వాల వేగంతో మోసుకువచ్చినట్లుగా. కాని అతడు విడిచిన ఆ బాణాలను నేను నా బాణాలతో చిదిమివేశాను—గాలి జ్వలించే కాంతి సమూహాన్ని చెదరగొట్టినట్లు.
