अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter

ते सर्वेडभ्यद्रवन्‌ कर्ण पतत्रिण इव द्रुमम्‌ । महाराज! विजयकी इच्छा रखनेवाले समस्त पांचाल योद्धा कर्णपर उसी प्रकार टूट पड़े, जैसे पक्षी वृक्षकी ओर उड़े जाते हैं

te sarve 'bhyadravan karṇa patatriṇa iva drumam | mahārāja vijayakāmāḥ sarve pāñcālā yoddhāḥ karṇam eva tathā 'bhyapatanta yathā pakṣiṇaḥ vṛkṣam ||

మహారాజా! విజయాకాంక్షతో ఉన్న పాంచాల యోధులంతా పక్షులు చెట్టువైపు ఎగిరివెళ్లినట్లే కర్ణునిపై ఒకేసారి దూసుకొచ్చారు.
