Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the inexorable force of actions set in motion—especially in war—where power, intent, and momentum produce swift results. It also reminds the reader that even renowned heroes are subject to the same consequences when the machinery of battle is engaged.

Sañjaya narrates that a mighty arrow, released with great strength and roaring like a thunderbolt, strikes and rends Karṇa on the battlefield, likened to a vajra cleaving a mountain.
