निःसरन्तो व्यदृश्यन्त सूर्यात् सप्त महाग्रहा:,उस समय सूर्यमण्डलसे सात बड़े-बड़े ग्रह निकलते दिखायी दिये, उल्कापात होने लगे, दिशाओंमें आग-सी जल उठी, बिना वर्षके ही बिजलियाँ गिरने लगीं और भयानक आँधी चलने लगी
sañjaya uvāca | niḥsaranto vyadṛśyanta sūryāt sapta mahāgrahāḥ | ulkāpātāḥ prāvartanta diśaś cāgnimayīr iva | avṛṣṭyā vidyutaḥ petur bhayaṅkarāś ca mahānilāḥ ||
అప్పుడు సూర్యమండలంనుండి ఏడు మహాగ్రహాలు బయటకు వచ్చినట్లు కనబడెను. ఉల్కాపాతాలు మొదలయ్యాయి; దిక్కులు అగ్నితో మండుతున్నట్లయ్యాయి; వర్షం లేకుండానే మెరుపులు పడసాగాయి; భయంకరమైన గాలులు, తుఫానులు లేచాయి.
