शतघ्नीनां सचक्राणां भुजानां चोरुभि: सह । कण्ठसूत्राज़दानां च केयूराणां च मारिष

Transliteration

śataghnīnāṃ sacakrāṇāṃ bhujānāṃ corubhiḥ saha | kaṇṭhasūtrāz-dānāṃ ca keyūrāṇāṃ ca māriṣa

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—ఓ మారిష, శతఘ్నీలు, చక్రయుక్త యంత్రాలు కూడా పడి ఉన్నాయి; తొడలతో కూడిన చేతులు తెగిపడి ఉన్నాయి; కంఠసూత్రాలు, కేయూరాలు కూడా చెల్లాచెదురయ్యాయి. ఇలా యుద్ధభూమి విరిగిన ఆభరణాలు, ఛిన్నమైన అవయవాలతో నిండిపోయి—ఈ అధర్మహత్య యొక్క భయంకర మూల్యానికి సాక్ష్యమిచ్చింది.
