वधं प्राप्तौ मन्‍्यते नौ प्रावेश्य शरवेश्मनि । एषो5स्मि हन्मि संकल्पं शिक्षया च बलेन च,“यह अपने बाणोंके घेरेमें डालकर हम दोनोंको मारा गया समझता है। मैं अभी अपनी शिक्षा और बलसे इसके इस मनोरथको नष्ट किये देता हूँ!

vadhaprāptau manyate nau prāveśya śaraveśmani | eṣo 'smi hanmi saṅkalpaṃ śikṣayā ca balena ca ||

“బాణాల వలయంలో మమ్మల్ని ఇద్దరినీ బంధించి మేము చనిపోయామని ఇతడు భావిస్తున్నాడు. కానీ నేను ఇక్కడున్నాను—నా విద్యతో, నా బలంతో ఇతని ఈ సంకల్పాన్ని ఇప్పుడే ఛిన్నాభిన్నం చేస్తాను.”
