घटोत्कचस्तथा शूरं राक्षसं तमलायुधम् | अभ्ययाद् रभसं युद्धे वेगमास्थाय मध्यमम्,इधर घटोत्कचने अपने प्रतिद्वन्द्दी शूर राक्षस अलायुधका जो युद्धमें बड़ा वेगशाली था, मध्यम वेगका आश्रय ले सामना किया
Ghaṭotkacaḥ tathā śūraṃ rākṣasaṃ tam Alāyudham | abhyayād rabhasaṃ yuddhe vegam āsthāya madhyamam ||
ఇదే విధంగా ఘటోత్కచుడు యుద్ధంలో తన ప్రత్యర్థి వీర రాక్షసుడు అలాయుధుని ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు ముందుకు దూకాడు; అలాయుధుడు అత్యంత వేగవంతుడైనా, ఘటోత్కచుడు మధ్యమ వేగాన్ని ఆశ్రయించి నియంత్రిత ధైర్యంతో సమరానికి నిలిచాడు।
