Droṇa-parva, Adhyāya 59
असंख्येया गुणा यस्मिन्नासन्नमिततेजसि । यश्षतुर्दश वर्षाणि निदेशात् पितुरच्युत:
asaṅkhyeyā guṇā yasminn āsann amitatajasi | yaḥ caturdaśa varṣāṇi nideśāt pitur acyutaḥ ||
అమిత తేజస్సుగల ఆయనలో అసంఖ్యాత గుణాలు నివసించేవి. తండ్రి ఆజ్ఞచేత ఆ అచ్యుతుడు పద్నాలుగు సంవత్సరాలు (వనవాసంగా) నివసించాడు.
