The verse praises mastery over bodily impulses (hunger, thirst, illness) as a sign of dharmic excellence: true strength is shown through self-restraint, virtue, and the inner radiance (tejas) that arises from disciplined character.
Nārada is describing Rāma’s exceptional qualities, highlighting his victory over physical limitations and his constant virtue, portraying him as a model of disciplined, luminous conduct within the broader Drona-parvan narration.
