निरस्तजिद्दानयनान्‌ निष्कीर्णान्त्रयकृद्घनान्‌ । हतारोहांश्छिन्नघण्टान्‌ क्रव्यादगणमोदकान्‌

Transliteration

nirastajiddānayanān niṣkīrṇāntrayakṛdghanān | hatārohāṁś chinnaghaṇṭān kravyādaganmodakān ||

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—అక్కడ విజయగర్వం కూలిపోయిన యోధులు, నిశ్చలమైన నిర్జీవ నేత్రాలతో పడి ఉన్నారు; వారి ఆంత్రాలు బయటకు చిందిపోయి, శరీరాలు రక్తభారంతో బరువెక్కినవి. సవారులు హతులయ్యారు; వారి గంటలు కోసి పడవేయబడి మౌనమయ్యాయి; మాంసభక్షక జీవులు ఆనందంతో గుంపులుగా చేరాయి.
