Shloka 18

ततस्तुमुलमाकाशे शरवर्षमजायत । पावकार्चि: परीतं तत्‌ पार्थमेवाभिपुप्लुवे,फिर तो आकाशमें बाणोंकी भयंकर वर्षा होने लगी और सब ओर फैली हुई आगकी लपटें अर्जुनपर ही टूट पड़ीं

tatas tumulam ākāśe śaravarṣam ajāyata | pāvakārciḥ parītaṃ tat pārtham evābhipupluve ||

సంజయుడు పలికెను—అప్పుడు ఆకాశంలో ఘోరమైన శరవర్షం ఉద్భవించింది. అగ్నిజ్వాలలతో ఆవరించబడిన ఆ దాడి ఉప్పొంగి ప్రధానంగా పార్థుని (అర్జునుని) మీదకే దూసుకొచ్చి పడింది।
